We are pretty happy with our current cow inventory although always looking to improve.
Our current group is a mixture of cows that were kept as heifers mostly from the Steel Reserve era and
purchased cows through various markets.
The LEA influence in our herd brings large, deep, structurally correct mother cows delivering impressive calf
crops year after year.
The home bred J Bar T cows, mostly heifers kept from Steel Reserve continue to produce fast
growing, hardy calves with pleasing temperaments.
The matriarch of the fold is RTH Xena, purchased many years ago at the National Western Stock Show. This Rocking
T Highlands cow is classical Highland in build and conformation.
Over the years, we have explored Highland Cross breeding with British White cows. We are pretty
satisfied with this crossing both in beef production/quality and the heifers we have kept that have
gone on to become breeding cows.
