Why Finn?

Black Watch Finn is a living illustration of the classic Highland bull. His pedigree combines pure Scottish genetics through Desiree of Kiyiwana on the dam side and Fingal of Auchnacraig on the sire side, giving him a direct connection to the breed’s Highland homeland.

Finn’s calm, confident temperament is among his most important qualities. Disposition matters in every Highland fold, and Finn consistently demonstrated the quiet intelligence, awareness, and manageability that breeders value in a herd sire.

Physically, Finn is an exceptional representative of the breed. Length is the first impression, but closer evaluation shows remarkable depth and width throughout. His head is broad and short, with well-developed sweeping horns that turn upward at the tips in the classic Highland presentation. He is wide through the brisket, deep to the ground, powerful through the shoulder, and expansive through the heart girth.

His back is long and level from withers to tailhead, with well-sprung ribs that blend smoothly into the shoulder. Through the hip, he is long, square, and level between the hooks and pins, with desirable width when viewed from behind. His large, correct feet support his substantial frame and contribute to the commanding presence he carried in the pasture.
